Confessions

A crawling, wiggly, stubborn baby does not equal an easy time with prefolds, that is for sure!

I've been trying to get Jackson to cooperate with me so I could get pictures of the different kinds of folds but he is having none of it! I am going to have to end up using a teddy bear as my model I think!

It has also been a struggle to get Jackson into prefolds with a snappi, he is just moving too much now and I have resorted to grabbing the pockets or using a prefold with only a cover and no snappi or pins. (I guess I could take and post a video, I'm sure that would provide entertainment for all of you!)

I should have done Prefold week about 4 months ago, lesson learned!

I do love prefolds but they are hard to use at this very active stage of Jackson's life!
Any advice on how to make it easier? Please?

  1. Have you tried "the prefold hold" I sit down on the floor, legs straight out in front of me, put the baby between my legs & stick their arms under my knees. Looks like torture but doesn't hurt!! That way they can't roll over but you can still life their legs/butt!!

    Also, I have a 4 1/2 week old. If there is a fold you want non-wiggly pictures of, let me know & I'll take one. Luke holds pretty still for me right now (we use prefolds ONLY at home).

  2. Lol, yeah forget the Snappi for now. :) It's hard to put on when baby is doing a back bend.

  3. We're in that phase too - though we use a lot of distraction to make it manageable. At the most rambunctious times during the day, I'm actually finding a flat (origami fold) with a single pin to be faster than trying to snappi a prefold...
