Banana Bottoms Fitted Diaper Review and Giveaway

Fitted diapers are my go-to diaper for bedtime.  When I first started cloth diapering, I couldn't find anything that didn't leak overnight until I tried a fitted with a cover.  Jackson has not leaked overnight since.  It is so nice that Jackson doesn't wake up in the middle of the night anymore soaking wet and mad!

The first fitted diaper that I ever used was sent to me by Kristen, the creator of Banana Bottoms.  Kristen uses mainly organic fabrics and she drafts and designs all of the diapers which are then handmade in her Halifax, Nova Scotia home.

Kristen has a shop on Etsy which features fitted cloth diapers as well as covers, wet bags and adorable fleece yoga pants!  

I received a small Banana Bottoms Banana Slim fitted diaper in the blue whale print.  I love the fabric, this is one of the cutest diapers in my stash!

I love the soaker for this diaper.  It snaps into place which I love because it allows it to be more easily cleaned and lets it dry faster.  Other fitted diapers are all one piece and take a long time to dry.  The soaker is two layers which are each made with 3 layers of bamboo/organic cotton fabrics.  They are topped with bamboo velour and are sewn together only at the top of the soaker.
The diaper features an adorable outer cotton print and 2 full layers of bamboo/organic cotton blend fabric.  The diaper is turned and topstitched for comfort and durability and the diaper has encased elastic at the back of the waist and at the legs to help contain messes.  I can honestly say we've never had a blowout or leak while using this diaper with a cover!
The size small should fit babies from 10-18 pounds.  The fabric is very stretchy through the waist and Jackson will definitely outgrow the rise before he outgrows the waist.  I'm almost positive he will be able to wear this diaper past 18 pounds! (Yay!)
The Banana Bottoms diaper is SO well made!  It is also extremely soft and has a snap closure.  I prefer snaps over Aplix any day!
Below, you can see the diaper on Jackson.  Notice how trim it is?  For such an absorbent diaper, I cannot believe the trimness!
Jackson has been wearing fitted diapers, coverless around the house a lot recently since we've been dealing with his diaper rashes.  I love looking at this diaper, it's so adorable!
I own a good mama diaper and I can honestly say that I prefer the Banana Bottoms Banana Slim over it!  It fits Jackson better and the price is right.
When you buy your Banana Bottoms fitteds, they come pre-washed and dried so you can use it right away.  The diaper will reach maximum absorbency after 5 washes so you'll need to change more often before that.
I absolutely love our Banana Bottoms Banana Slim fitted diaper!  It is so well made and it's cute so I love looking at it!  It does not have the bulkiness that other fitted diapers have and it works great for helping to clear up diaper rash.

If you like fitted diapers or haven't found a good nighttime solution yet, definitely give these a try, you will NOT regret it!
