"I think I could get used to these cloth diapers mom!"
Today I used prefolds and covers all day. All of the covers I have are size mediums and are too big but they still worked. The tabs are overlapping as much as possible on them! We had absolutely no leaks again today and a prefold and a Thirsties cover contained what I'm pretty sure would have been a horrible blowout...Thank you cloth diapers!
I didn't really know what to do with the prefolds and I was too scared to attempt pins or a Snappi today so I just did a trifold with the diaper and put it in the cover...
Trifold:
And all ready to go...I didn't really know what I was doing but this is what I ended up with and it worked great:

The prefold and cover make for a very bulky diaper but today was super easy and they are still cute! I'm going to try a Snappi the next time I use the prefolds and I'm sure that will cut down on the bulk some...we'll see I guess!
After 2 full days of cloth diapering, it was time to do the laundry tonight. I emptied my hanging pail into the washer, ran a cold prewash/soak with no detergent, a hot wash with detergent and an extra rinse. I checked the water during the last rinse and I could still see soap bubbles so I ran an extra rinse. The water was fine when I checked it that time! I then dried on medium and my diapers are ready to go for tomorrow!
I told my husband tonight that I wish we would've started cloth diapering from the beginning! It is SO much easier than I thought it was going to be AND dealing with the dirty diapers is way better than emptying a Diaper Champ full of dirty disposable diapers, something I used to dread doing!
My hanging pail is on the back of the door of Jackson's room, it does not smell at all! It is so much less...nasty than I thought it was going to be! I love cloth diapering, it really is easy!
...Tomorrow I am going to use the All in one diapers that I have so check back to see how those work for us!
