I'm Baa-aaaack

I'm back home and kind of finally settled in!  I have a table full of SWAG to go through tomorrow...I'm way too tired tonight!
My husband was too scared to use cloth diapers while I was away at Blogher '09 so unfortunately Jackson was in sposies all weekend.  I can't wait to get back into the swing of things tomorrow morning!
I had a great time at Blogher but I am happy to be back home!  It was a fun weekend and I am EXHAUSTED.  I was soo so happy to get back home to Jackson, I've never left him over night before so that was definitely something new!  I missed him like CRAZY and all of the cute babies at Blogher didn't help!

Question...What do you think are the best kind of diapers for overnight use?  Jackson has leaked through everything that I've tried so far overnight except for the bumGenius 3.0 One Size...he usually does not wake up at all during the night but when he leaks he gets so mad!  Then of course I have to change his jammies and sheets at like 2AM and that is NO fun at all!
Let me know what your favorites are so I can see if they work for us!

I've decided that if you want extra entries for the Gro Baby, you can tweet 1 time per day and get one extra entry a day for it!  Just leave a comment and let me know you did it!

  1. I don't have any Bum Genius 3.0, but what I've found with the pocket diapers I do have is that the combination of a microfiber insert for quick absorbtion & a hemp insert for maximum volume works best for overnight. I have a GADBaby, a onesize blueberry minky & a onesize Swaddlebees ecconappie that I've tried this with & I've been very pleased with the results. This method has however been hit & miss with my Knickernappie & Fuzzibunz.

I have a little weeds hemp prefold that I fold up to use as a night time insert along with a standard microfiber insert...it is the best combination. The hemp insert from GadBaby is also very good and for my toddler the inserts that came with the Blueberry & Ecconappie are very effecient, but I think they would be bulky for a smaller baby.

  2. Fuzzi Bunz are a great choice for overnight with a combination of inserts. Also, check out the SuperDo and LoopyDo inserts they are awesome!

  3. I use double stuffed fuzzie bunz or smartipants. Pockets for me have been the best since I can control how much they absorb. Super dos are suppose to be awesome that is next on my list to buy, Oh and punkin butt hemp doublers are also great to add to an overnight diaper. There are very trim but keep baby completly dry and are very easy to spray off.

  4. I have success with a bum genious one size with either two extra infant MF inserts or an extra hemp insert. I also used a premium sized prefold with a hemp insert and cover the other night and that worked. I've had leaks with disposables and smartipants when used over night.

  5. My children are potty trained now but will have to send this link to my sister-in-law and friend both expecting their second child! They have no idea what lies ahead and how much laundry they will need to do.
